To Books and Nice People

"Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never tried to fall asleep with a mosquito in the room."
Christine Todd Whitman

Standing at the bus stop, I was thinking about that one thing that made me happy today. Clearly there were few, but what tops the list is getting a book from a new friend – Nilesh.
The book is called The Fakir. Will start reading it tonight.
Iam yet to start reading it, but the fact what made me happy was that he called me specially and gave me this book. Its amazing how few people whom you know for only few months can make a difference to your day.
Another happy thing was  that my dear Boss – SriRam, listening to me and being confident about my decisions.

Start loving everyone.

A true friend is someone you can disagree with and still remain friends. For if not, they weren't true friends in the first place. - Sandy Ratliff

I never thought finding happiness everyday would be so difficult, we get lost in the daily rut of doing things, of being worried about the smallest of things that makes us sad, stressed. Specially when you know there were people in your life who gave up on .

The idea should be to love, respect and have gratitude for all.
What made me happy today are my friends - Shruti Nain, Vicky JD, Amit , Allen, Nisha, Avinash.

Also, i helped my kid cousin to win the badminton championship. Now i have some special memories related to playing badminton but i didnt let my memories stop me from helping him win this.
I will always try to help anyone and everyone in whatever way possible.

If you want every around you, the 7 billion people ( wold population) to love you, start loving them first.

The Wait-er and the Bar- tender

“In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is Freedom, in water there is bacteria.”
― Benjamin Franklin

So, out of willingness to explore new things everyday, i decided to help out my friend Arya to figure out some sites to launch a new phone in Delhi ( Me being the Delhi expert) we went to Barleyz ( Koramangala) to meet another person.
With beer and some yummy food, they worked while i was drinking my beer. Funny thing about alcohol is it either makes you very happy,or either makes you very sad.

I noticed the Waiter and the Bartender, and i thought, what would they be earning. Not much may be, but they all look happy. Happiness is subjective, the smallest of thing can make you happy and the biggest of things doesnt excite you.

After all, all good things in life come for free.

Little things console us because little things afflict us. - Blaise Pascal

So it happened today, when sitting in the auto rickshaw while my way to work, i decided to write and acknowledge the little things that surprises you, gives you happiness and you feel good about them for a small time but you forget about them as the day passes.

I woke up all dazed out with my thoughts not allowing me to sleep for more then few hours. Started watching the movie - The secret life of walter mitty.
All those of you who have lived in Bangalore, India.would be able to relate to the hassles of looking for an Auto-rickshaw and then haggling with them over the fair. I walked down the usual path i follow to catch an auto,

So, my office - Ogilvy and Mather being at the other corner of the town, i asked for the auto guy about how much money would he take, he said Meter.
I WAS SURPRISED!

Then it strike me, its the law of attraction!! These days i wake up and i think about good things in life.. and i assure my self that good things will happen to me today. So this was the first good thing that happened to me today.

With the joy he gave me i payed him some extra money and i thanked him to use meter :)
Little joys of life.
